Financial Arrangements

We will do our best to meet your needs as we plan your investment in orthodontic treatment. Fees are determined by the severity and complexity of the problem. At your initial visit, Dr. Diers will be looking at teeth, joint structure and the entire face. This visit is complimentary, however, x-rays, photographs and impressions may be recommended. These procedures can be conducted following the exam for your convenience, and would involve a financial obligation. After Dr. Diers has been able to study the records and make a diagnosis, we will then schedule a more detailed conference regarding fees and the length of time required for treatment.

We offer three basic options for financing.   

• You can pay in full and receive a 7% discount   

• You can put 25% down and pay the balance in monthly installments with no interest.   

• You can utilize an outside financing company offered through Care Credit or Springstone Patient Financing with no money down and lower monthly installments.

Insurance

At Dr. Diers' office, we work with all insurance companies, unless there is a network which is limited to specific doctors in which we are not included. Orthodontic insurance differs from general dental insurance in that there is usually a maximum amount of dollars that is allocated to orthodontics. This amount is most often given one time, per patient. The average benefit ranges from $1000 to $1500. Insurance companies will generally not reimburse the entire amount , but will pay a percentage of the charges over the length of treatment. These reimbursements are paid directly to you. Our office is more than willing to fill out your insurance forms and do everything possible to assure that you are paid the amount in which you are entitled. We also go the extra mile. If your treatment is functional, or necessary for jaw correction (such as severe overbite or underbite), we will submit your claim as a medical necessity. We have, on staff, insurance experts that can answer all of your questions and assist you with any claim or problem that you may encounter.
