To positively affect our patients lives with an honest, trusting, and considerate orthodontic team...
To grow together in mind, heart and spirit with superior management, communication, encouragement, kindness, patience and quality.
Dr. Diers is a Board Certified Orthodontist which represents a very small percentage of orthodontists, approximately 7%.
Dr. Diers looks at the entire face, not just the teeth. The teeth and smile are harmonized with the proper facial balance, resulting in more than straight teeth, but a WOW smile!
We treat the jaw joint and the bite, so that your result is not only beautiful, but functional and healthy. Dr.Diers is a TMJ specialist. The jaw joint is examined at the initial visit for potential problems. This is a holistic approach, that goes well beyond just "straightening teeth".
Dr. Diers has additional training in Wilkodontics. This is an optional procedure that allows patients to reduce their treatment time by several months. It is also referred to as accelerated orthodontics, as patients can complete braces treatment in 6-12 months.
Dr. Diers is trained in sleep apnea and sleep disturbances. We offer appliances which aid in opening the airway, which increases the level of oxygen intake, which allows a better night's sleep; additionally many patients report an overall feeling of wellness and increased energy throughout the day (see testimonial section).
Dr. Diers has an ICAT 3D imaging machine in office. This machine takes a 9 second scan that allows for optimal diagnosis above and beyond the traditional 2 dimensional x-ray. One scan produces all necessary x-rays including tomograms for TMJ patients removing the need to visit the hospital or outside facilities.
Our in-house lab allows for quick, efficient, and properly constructed appliances that meet Dr. Diers' exact specifications. Because we have our own lab, appliances can be made "personnally" for you. You will receive your appliance very quickly, unlike offices who send their work to an outside lab.
Every member of the clinical team is a Certified Dental Assistant. This requires additional training above the orthodontic training, as well as a final certification. Furthermore, one team member is EFDA registered. This is an additional education allowing her to perform clinical duties above the regular scope of duties.
We have no staff turn-over. Our employees have been with Dr. Diers for 10, 20 and even 30+ years, offering you a great deal of experience. You can depend on seeing the same faces throughout your treatment.
We offer three office locations for your convenience located in Fairfield, Cincinnati and West Chester. One office may be close to your home, and another may be closer to your office! Patients are welcome to go to any office, at anytime throughout their treatment. Dr. Diers is a trusted Fairfield, Cincinnati, Colerain and West Chester (Liberty Township) Orthodontist.
We offer the clear alternative to the metal braces. These ceramic braces, or clear braces are the perfect choice for many of our patients. They are often referred to as "invisible braces" as they are barely noticable.
There is always someone available when you need help. Our phones are answered Monday-Thursday, 8am.-5pm., and Friday 8am.-12pm., even when we are not seeing patients (with the exception of lunch). Additionally, either Dr. Diers or the Clinical Coordinator is available after-hours for emergency calls (emergencies are for patients experiencing pain and cannot wait until morning).
Our office offers bonded or glued retainers and a tooth positioner. It is so easy to give patients removable retainers and say good-bye! But in our experience, results are better maintained when retainers are glued to the teeth. Additionally, Dr. Diers offers a tooth positioner to help maintain the bite after treatment is completed.
Dr. Diers performs an equilibration procedure at the end of treatment. After your braces are removed, an equilibration is performed to help finalize perfection of the bite. This ensures that the bite is even, tight and functionally stable for a healthy jaw joint. Additionally, he will perform an aesthetic equilibration for any teeth that have chips, are uneven due to wear, or are mishaped. This procedure is perfectly painless and harmless to the teeth.

Our OSHA regulations are maintained at the highest levels. We adhere to Ohio State Dental Board regulations as well as OSHA regulations, and follow the more stringent guideline whenever they differ. Our spore testing is actually done more frequently than what is required. All of our sterilization records and MSDS sheets are maticulous and are available for patient viewing if requested. Our office has an employee who is OSHA certified in general industry, and provides annual training meetings for the entire staff to review office protocol and updates.
The entire staff is CPR certified! Every year Dr. Diers provides training for the staff in adult and child CPR.
For our patients who are missing teeth, we place pontics (fake teeth) during their braces treatment. This is of great importance for someone missing teeth, especially when the teeth are in the front. The assistants are very trained in making the teeth look very natural and they remain in place until your braces are removed. We then provide the patient with a retainer, which is made with the missing teeth attached. Therefore, you will not have to go "without teeth" during or after your treatment with our office.
We provide mouthguards for our patients who play sports. If you wish, we will make the mouthguard for you, saving you a trip to the store.
